Samenvatting

A statistical study was made to assess the risk of injury to small and larger car occupants in collisions. Various data sources were employed in order to examine characteristics of the vehicle size population, and the effects of restraint usage as well as driver age and average number of occupants in vehicles were considered. It was found that the risk of injury increases as weight of the vehicle decreases, and is expressed in a mathematical formula.
