Samenvatting
This thesis is aimed at the field of traffic safety research. While some mathematical statistics details are needed, it emphases the methods and their conceptual underpinnings rather than their theoretical properties. As a result, this thesis will appeal hopefully not only to the statisticians but also to the broad spectrum of researchers and practitioners in the field of road safety. (Author/publisher)
