Samenvatting
When analyzing trip generation one often uses regression analysis to estimate the relationship between the number of trips and the socio-economic variables. Regression analysis can only be performed if certain conditions are fulfilled, and these not always hold in practice. In order to meet these conditions it is suggested to carry out analyses like factor analysis or principal components before using regression analysis.
