Status and research of highway advisory radio in the U.S.A.

One major feature in improvements on major urban and freeway highways to achieve improved traffic flow will consist of the communication of highway related information directly to motorists within his vehicle. Two systems now in use are discussed while research is underway to investigate the feasibility of providing an automatic tuning capability in the vehicle. A discussion is added.
