Samenvatting
In this paper some remarks are made about the potential use of city distribution centres. Not only the physical characteristics of goods but also logistical aspects, operational problems and strategical motives are important for transporters when they are thinking of cooperating with city distribution centres. Strategical motives such as competition can frustate possibilities for cooperation. Some suggestions are made for complementary measures such as using improved transport technologies.
