Samenvatting
In this paper, stone mastic asphalt (a new asphaltic mix for road construction) is compared with conventional asphalt mixes. The structure of the mix is described and this is used as the basis for a new approach for designing such a mix. In this new approach, the range of mix compositions is varied in a different way: the mastic content of the mix is varied instead of the bitumen content.
