Samenvatting
The 6 4-way stops which were erected in the Southern Transvaal area were analysed with regard to numbers and severity of accidents before and after their erection, speed of approach and lost time through the intersection. The collection of accident data presented problems and it is strongly recommended that reliable information concerning the specific place of occurrence of an accident be readily available at a central accident office and in the accident register kept by each police station.
