A study of cyclists turning right.

Samenvatting

Psychologists have rarely made use of the opportunities for the study of human behaviour that abound on the road. This paper presents some of the results of an investigation, made several years ago, into the behaviour of pedal cyclists turning right at intersections. It is hoped that the paper will be particularly mulating to psychologists with limited apparatus. The aim of the investigation was to describe some of the factors which contributed to pedal cyclists behaviour at intersections. The observations were made at such times and places that a relatively high proportion of the cyclists observed were children; this was because the problems of child behaviour were of special interest.
