Samenvatting

This research was done to determine the effects of low levels of carbon monoxide on human performance in driving-related laboratory task and in over-the-road vehicle driving. The driving task was designed to evaluate driver visual information needs and the steering wheel movements required to keep a vehicle properly positioned within the driving lane at different speeds. The laboratory tests measured psychomotor reactions, dark adaptation and glare recovery, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
