Samenvatting

Little more than five per cent of people injured in vehicle accidents suffer from foot injuries, and almost 80% of these people are drivers. Foot injuries are caused by involuntary foot rotations either by wedging between the pedal or in the folds of the car floor or by compression of the foot when the driver's knees are squeezed under the instrument panel or when he brakes extremely hard.
