Samenvatting

In this paper, construction of the IVC (Inter-vehicle communication) network that uses SS (Spread Spectrum) communication is proposed in order to exchange information for assisting safe driving. In this network, vehicles communicate via the single-directional multi-hop network, and make a space division transmission using an array antenna. Since it is possible for the proposed system to know the vehicles' relative position, this feature is very useful for safe driving, improving of far-near problem and reducing influence of equivalent PN code interference using directivity for antenna. In this study, the network that assists safe driving is constructed by the integrated SS-IVC and RVC (Road to vehicle communication) network. This network performs multi-hop and space division transmission using an array antenna. And RVC system supports SS-IVC in the MAC protocol for packet collision avoidance.
