Samenvatting
An X-ray experimental method for observing the motion of body visceral regions subject to whole-body impact has been developed. The observations demonstrate the movements of internal areas relative to the spinal column and to the impact cradle. Calculation of displacement from the rest position, including the lag on free fall, and velocities and accelerations generated are presented. In these series of experiments the maximum drop height was 84 inches so that the trauma produced was minimal.
