Samenvatting
Pedestrian accident statistics, collision theory, simulation experiments and case history studies are examined. Comparisons of impact speed, distribution of impact points on vehicles and other parameters are made between pedestrians suffering fatal, severe and moderate injuries. Impact speed and impact point distribution are found to influence the severity of pedestrian injuries.
