A study of the Melbourne system of emergency rescue services.

Direct observations of the care provided for crash victims at the scene and in the hospital casualty department suggests that standards of ambulance care in Melbourne are satisfactory within the limits of present operation. There is a need for a reorganisation of hospital casualty departments.
