Samenvatting

Six non-English speaking background (NESB) communities in Sydney, NSW, participated in discussion groups looking at their attitudes and knowledge about seat belts and child restraints. In each community four groups of people were surveyed; young people, young families, older people and opinion leaders. Profiles of the communities, and the results of each of the four discussion groups in each community are reported. Recommendations on future activities and research are also outlined.
