Samenvatting

A study has been made of the relation between the number of pedestrian casualties on approximately 14 miles of road in the inner suburbs of London. A number of factors were taken into account in the study, including the age and sex of the pedestrians, the level of vehicle flow, the proximity of road junctions and the position and type of pedestrian crossings.
