Samenvatting
Three related investigation are summarized: (1) a determination of the demography of restraint system use; (2) a comparison of the incidence and severity of injuries for restraint system users and non-users; (3) a comparison of the incidence and severity of injury from those various areas in the vehicle that were contacted by the occupant. The results of these investigations, revealing how the pattern of injuries changes with different values of the controlled factors, and how restraint usage affects these changes, are presented in this paper.
