Samenvatting

A study was made between 1964 and 1966 of road traffic flows crossing cordons round the central areas of eight towns of population ranging from 18000 to 8 million. The results showed that the duration of the peak periods (as defined in this Report) varied from just over an hour in the smaller towns up to about 2 hours in London. A summary of the main findings is given in the conclusions at the end.
