Samenvatting

The Smart Gateway system in the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) could be used to provide and distribute such divergent services as traffic information, multimedia content, and electronic transactions. The attacks on this system could include unauthorized access of the system to evade service charges, as well as delaying traffic by sending false accident information. To prevent these attacks, it is necessary to authenticate users and devices and protect communication data. This paper presents secure communication methods to prevent breaching and altering the system. Using biometrics, such as faces and voice, is also proposed to achieve hands-free driving while preventing impersonation.
