Samenvatting

A corridor consisting of a freeway and arterials is examined in an attempt to determine how closely the existing traffic patterns approximate each of the principles of Wardrop, which correspond to individual and total cost minimizations respectively. A representation of the traffic flow pattern which would exist if the peak period users assigned themselves to Wardrop's first principle is presented.
