Samenvatting

The following paper presents the results of a study of the vehicle speeds at a climbing lane and passing lane site in Alberta. The purpose of the study was to determine the value of climbing lanes and passing lanes to motorists in terms of time savings. Climbing and passing lanes are seen as low cost alternatives to twinning existing two lane highways. (A)
