Samenvatting

There is no question that 16-24 year olds are disproportionately high contributors to traffic accidents and fatalities. They are also the greatest loss group for automobile insurers. This study of young driver insurance records addressed the basic questions: What can we learn about the road behavior and accidents of these young drivers? And how can we apply what we learn to improve their highway performance? One sub-study was also conducted which sought the differences and similarities between male and female drivers found in the insurance company records for the 16-24 age group and analyzed them to suggest ways to yield improvements for both sexes.
