Samenvatting
The thesis intends to investigate the objectives of the traffic and transport policy of the national, the local and provincial authorities and the results that have been reached. Recommendations regarding future policy are: policy targets must be set at a lower level, the planning structure needs to be adapted, there is a need for more research and there should be more attention given to the influence of other policy areas.
