Samenvatting
The number of handicapped persons in the Netherlands will grow, mainly because people reach a higher age and 30% of the handicapped nowadays are over 65 years of age. An overview of legislation and activities in the field is given in chapter 3. Chapter 4 analyses the problems and gives possible solutions as far as traffic and transport are concerned. Chapter 5 offers the recommendations. A literature review is added on the accessibility of buses in urban areas as far as the handicapped are concerned.
