A subjective assessment of rille quality was undertaken inorder to estimate the relationships among 22 factors thatWect concepts of rille quality and to assess the interac-tion of these factors with 7 rille quality issues. Ninelire-haul drivers drove and rated each of 16 tractor-trai-ler vehicles. The factors, driver vibration, ease of stee-ring, and interior cab noise determined overall impres-sions of rille quality.
