Samenvatting
A survey of accidents on various Tasmanian rural roads showed that the most sub-standard group had the highest accident rate but fewer fatalities than the others. Generally, drivers assessment of safe speed considerably exceeded the design speed. It is suggested in this study that a reappraisal of design-speed policy be made.
