A survey of the literature on the role of alcohol in bicycle/motor-vehicle crashes.

The literature is reviewed to assess the role of alcohol in accidents between bicycles and motor vehicles. Domestic and foreign literature was reviewed along with accident data from the files of selected accident record-keeping agencies. The main conclusions drawn from the literature review are presented.
