A survey of selected 1986 motorcycle fatalities in the State of Texas : summary of accident characteristics.

In 1986 there were 397 motorcycle accident fatalities in Texas. These represent 11.1% of all traffic fatalities in the state. The accident analysis division of Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) obtained photocopies of 141 motorcycle accident reports containing supplemental casualty and blood alcohol information provided by a recognized medical examiner. These sample accidents profile 142 motorcycle operator fatalities.
