It is concluded that the majority of children travelling in motor vehicles are unrestrained. A higher percentage are secured in the front seat than in the back seat. Predominant injury in the 0- 9 months age was a fractured skull. Chest and abdominal injuries and bruising dominated in the 9- 13 years group.
