Samenvatting
The meeting considered three topics : energy supply and demand, energy economy for cars and lorries using petrol and other liquid fuels, and alternative types of road vehicles, particularly those powered by electric batteries. Papers by staff of industrial firms, nationalised industry, and government departments, were presented. In conjunction with the meeting there was a display of some vehicles associated with current TRRL research programmes on energy consumption by cars, delivery vans, and heavy good vehicles, and a demonstration of some recent battery electric road vehicles developed by a British industrial firm.
