A procedure is developed for estimating internal trip movements without interview surveys. A generalized trip generation model is based on analysis of generation characteristics of 8 cities. A method is proposed for determining gravity model travel time factors based on maximum trip length over the traffic assignment network. The procedure is evaluated by test application and it satisfactorily duplicates observed traffic volumes.
