Samenvatting
The problems concerning traffic congestion, air pollution and the affection of the environment ask for a substantial growth of the share of public transport in the total mobility. In the mean while, however, a strong growth in car- ownership and continuing increase in the spread in trip- patterns is expected. This asks for a reconsideration of the public transport system, for which this paper gives a conception.
