Samenvatting
The expansion of logistics systems in trade and industry creates new challenges and development tasks for goods distribution and freight transport. The many different means of transport must be incorporated economically into these systems, according to capacity and goals, and coordinated in an optimal, "logistical efficient" way. For there is no one means of transport which can perform all the tasks required and at the same time satisfy all requirements. A rethinking and adjustment process is necessary.
