Samenvatting
The focus in this paper is on a proposal for a new traffic safety programme in the Czech republic. The vision is to decrease the number of fatalities to the average of the EU countries. The strategy is briefly presented. The paper also gives an overview of the recent developments in the Czech Republic in the field of road safety activities such as new legislation, new speed limits and road traffic safety research.
