Samenvatting
Based on experience gained particularly in the Netherlands an attempt is made to show how to detect accidents in road tunnels automatically. Automatic systems, comprising television detectors, remote control, traffic lights and automatic barriers have been evolved and are described. A central computer controlling both ventilation and auxiliary equipments of the tunnel is discussed.
