Samenvatting
The daylight visual acuity of drivers who had had their licences confiscated because of driving while intoxicated was examined. It was shown that persons having reduced daylight visual acuity were no more likely to be involved in accidents than those with normal sight. The examination of visual acuity in twilight conditions is recommended, particularly in the case of older drivers.
