The study analyzes the effectiveness of the teams, games, tournaments (TGT) approach to alcohol education among adolescents. The TGT program uses game playing as a teaching device and emphasizes group achievement. Teams of students with varying levels of alcohol knowledge study and compete among themselves during 4 weeks of daily 50-minute sessions. The program has alcohol education and self-management components.
