Samenvatting
Over recent years, the main objective of the French Ministry of Transport has been the transmission of information to the public concerning traffic and road conditions via videotex. With the introduction of new multimedia techniques, traffic information is now available in the form of texts, recorded messages and pictures. This publication aims to present the architecture of the server by dealing with its method of collecting information, the interconnection networks, and the different medias of distribution. (A)
