Samenvatting
The ideas of technological forecasting and technology assessment are explained by distinguishing six types of information concerning a forecasting and evaluation study. Methods to be used can be founded in several scientific philosophies. It is indicated that these methods can be and have been applied in planning of transportation system. Further possibilities to do so should be explored.
