On May 31, 1992 the information by telephone on public transport journeys in the Netherlands was introduced. Since 1993 more than seven million telephone calls were made. A short overview is given on the capacity of the telephone information centres, the achievements in 1993, and the appraisal by the customers and the efefcts on mobility.
