Technology Assessment (TA) provides a tool for critical reflection on the implications of new technologies. The Dutch economy has always heavily depended on its geographical position as a node in world- wide infrastructural networks. Within the context of the modernization of physical infrastructure this paper gives an outline of current discussions.
