Telematics in goods transport : report of the seventy-eigth round table on transport economics, Paris, 13th-14th October 1988.

This round table contains presentations and discussions on the use of telematics in freight transport operations. Special attention is given to: a) the factors relating to the dissemination of information technology among freight transport undertakings and the obstacles encountered; b) the consequences of "just-in-time" transport services and the computerisation of transport markets; c) electronic data interchange telematics and the need for standardisation; and d) relationships between telematics and employment.
