Theme III. Communicating with the driver. Perspectives of mobile communications.

The introduction in Germany of a digital cellular mobile radio system with large user capacity and low costs, which is leading to a fundamental change in car communications is described. Using this new network, it will be possible to provide services concerned with traffic at considerably lower charges than using special networks.
