Some of the ways in which the AIT (Alliance International du Tourisme) and the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) and their constituent organizations are providing vehicle rescue services in various parts of the world are summarized. The objectives and extent of the services are discussed together with the operational methods used.
