Theme IV. Protecting and rescuing the driver. How to help the driver with his driving on motorways.

The problems besetting the driver on motorways are discussed. Weariness and drowsiness, insufficient tyre pressure, insufficient attention to weather conditions, in particular foggy conditions, driving distance from the car in front. Measures taken and devices developed for counteracting the above problems are briefly described.
