Samenvatting

This paper reviews psychological research into driver behaviour and methods of driver education with groups, which focus on the individual, and upon people's attitudes, social interaction, and plans of action. The approach focuses on training people to recognise dangerous driving situations, improving self image, and developing self control. The aim of such research is to enable drivers to choose whether to be a safe and considerate driver, or to adopt the ego driven competitive and dangerous driving style.
