Samenvatting

This work is part of an exercise to predict what would happen to the yearly accident rate if the time interval between inspections were to be doubled. It also has implications for the value of vehicle inspection itself. It also serves to provide a theoretical explanation for the steady increase over time since inspection in accident involvement rates, as opposed to a rapid fading of the effects of inspection.
