The activity report 1984 of the ECMT is presented. After the general transport policy in Europe, activities in particular fields a.o. school transport are presented. Conclusions on road traffic rules and road signs and signals adopted by the Ministers are given. Trends in the transport sector 1970- 1983 are discussed.
