Mobility is the result of the time-space behaviour of individuals. In this paper the importance of the time element is emphasized in the analysis of time-space behaviour. The time element has been commonly stressed in disaggregate, behavioural research. Space, especially the one dimensional distance variable, is normally explored in aggregate analysis. For instance in the spatial interaction models. This paper gives an aggregate analysis of time-space patterns in which time is also treated as a structural variable.
