Samenvatting
The author's kinetic theory of traffic distribution (Tomlin, 1969) is applied to several examples of distribution, which are varying in time. The case of a system, which initially in equilibrium is disturbed by a sudden change of costs, is examined and the significance of the relaxation time of the system is pointed out. Other problems considered are the effects of opening new routes, the effects of steadily changing costs and population growth in the origins of the system.
